The symposium itself will take place April 16-18, 2018, with the opening keynote on April 16 and all breakout sessions and plenary panels on April 17-18. There are additional events planned by community partners the days before and after.

In summer 2016 the President of the University of Minnesota announced Prince would receive a posthumous honorary doctorate, a recognition that was being prepared before he passed away (more information). Details about the ceremony are to be announced.
